Time Passage Series

This timeless body of work documents my visual, sensory, and emotional responses to the mystical archaeological sites of the Four Corners region in the American Southwest. In these spiritual places, I have felt a primal connection to both the earth and the ongoing energy of life. By reaching back in time to explore ancient images of our past, I have rediscovered a common continuous thread in all human life…that being our need to create to better know ourselves.  The monumental images, symbols and marks etched in stone over 2,000 years ago have taken on personal meanings, connecting me to the past, yet allowing a reinterpretation and transformation in light of my own life experiences.
